Step 2 offers CPD training for schoold and communities

Our experienced staff offer a range of services that can support your staff, including clinical supervision and training on a range of  topics. â€‹

Clinical Supervision for Safeguarding Leads

We provide professional supervision for staff who have responsibilities for safeguarding children and young people, and offering mental health support.

​

Supervision sessions are:​

  • a confidential non-judgemental independent space for staff to discuss complex cases

  • a space to process traumatic and disturbing material

  • an opportunity to explore responses and decision making

  • a chance to monitor their own emotional and psychology health

Step 2 offers lots of workshops

Talking Taboos workshops:

Our established CPD training programme including our Talking Taboo workshops, focus on current issues affecting young people and how professionals can work with them, as well as offering practical ways of working and signposting to local supporting services.

These workshops are generally 1 -2.5 hours long and here are some of the topics covered:

  • Mental Health and Young People - a different approach

  • Young People and the Online World

  • Domestic Abuse and the Impact on Young People

  • Child Exploitation and Grooming

  • The Impact of Pornography on Young People

  • Relationships and Sexual Education

  • Vaping 

  • Gambling​​​​

Clinical supervision for safeguarding leads

We provide counselling supervision for staff in schools who have responsibilities for safeguarding children and young people, and mental health support.

 

Supervision sessions are:

  • Entirely individual - we encourage staff to use the sessions in the way they feel will be most beneficial to support them in their work.

  • A confidential, non-judgemental, independent space for staff to discuss complex cases, process traumatic and disturbing material, explore responses and decision-making, and monitor their own emotional and psychological health.
